On the opening day of doves, ducks, goose, etc., you can only have the daily limit in your possession, there is no possession limit on the opening day. After the opening day the possession limit is twice the daily limit. I wasn't talking about opening day hunting, just the rest of the season.

I have killed my possession limit of waterfowl in one day and probably will again. I limited out from Dec. 19 - Jan. 7 everyday, and on a couple of those days I did kill 12 ducks, either for myself or for another member of the club. Every club that hunts around us hunt morning and evening, doves and ducks. Do you think they kill 8 doves or 3 ducks in the morning hunt and then come back in the evening and get 7 doves or 3 ducks to finish out the daily limit, whatever???

Whoooooooowwww,
Where are you boys from?

This is the first time I have ever heard anyone say that you can kill two limits a day.
GEHAHAHAHAHA
Come on and go hunting with me boys and see just how quick ya get a ticket.
A daily limit is a limit period. poss. comes in to play every day except opening day.

Meaning that you can kill the limit and have yesterdays limit with you but no more. Ain't got nothing to do with killing two limits a day.

Boy that is reading more into the law than even some of the outlaws I have hung with in the past. hehehe

I would sure like to be there when he tells ya you skrewed up.....

Hey look fella I'll be the last person to tell you how to hunt...That was your Daddy's job. I just don't think you should assume that just because a coupple of obvious jackass game wardens told you it's legal that it really is...That is the great thing about laws and ethics only you can make that choice in the woods...I just hope you are hunting with that new Beretta you got when you run upon a real Game Warden pulling the doubble dip.....

I'm not arguing against the opening day limits because the possession limit is equal to the daily limit. Now after that you can have twice the daily limit in your possession. Let's say if you hunt on saturday and sunday, kill two limits and go home sunday afternoon with 12 ducks, it's legal. If you just hunt saturday only, and the possession is 12, then you can get the two limits saturday and go home sunday with 12 possession, which is legal.

These duck guide services offer morning and evening hunts for $500 total. You think they are going to tell those guys that morning that you can only take 3 birds this morning, then get the last 3 birds this evening hunt cuz you can't go over the daily bag limit, $#!+, they gonna get two limits of ducks and for that amount of money the guides will probably let'em shoot more cuz of the larger tips they will get.

That's a good point about the guide service but just remember that there is a huge difference between you and a guide service. The odds of you and any Joe Blow Hunter getting the hammer of justice dropped on you is about a thousand times better than a place like Tara for example..ain't right but that's life..and just because your neighbor might do it doesn't make it right....that's the oldest deffense in the world for doing **** that you know is wrong but daddy timmy did it why can't I..... All I can say is I would be very careful about what I put on the message board about limits and especially putting pictures on. I have two friends here in Alabama that killed three buck deer one afternoon took pictures of the deer and them together and put it in the local paper. Bubba and his friend Tommy killed three nice bucks in one day .Now what do you think happened?????

GC, I really don't have to worry about the wardens cuz they are too scared to come down the camp road in fear of getting stuck. The road usually get crappy around November, but it was destroyed last weekend. We had 5 4X4's get stuck last weekend in the same spot, and those dodges the wardens are driving now aren't bad enough to come down the road. You can get in a lighter 4X4, Toyota, Nissan, but their wasn't a Z-71 or F-150 going in there last weekend.

Those old wardens wouldn't mess with anyone who is a great enough hunter to limit everytime he goes hunting. Come hunt with our group on public and if you can limit 1 of 3 times in a group of three or more hunters I will give you allday to gather a crowd to watch me kiss mr. duckhunters rear in downtown wherever. be real. I graduated from state and if you were limiting everyday in that area, it was on woodies. yeha!

I don't hunt around Starkville, I hunt in the delta. I limited out for 20 days straight during christmas holidays in the same hole, same setup, just changed the dekes when the wind was different. I killed mallards, gadwalls, woodies, teal, widgeons, pintails, canvasback, just about every duck imaginable.

There "WAS" a duck hunting guide service around Sledge Miss. that allowed clients to kill a limit of ducks in the morning and again in the afternoon. An incognito federal game warden hunted with them for two seasons and double-dipped.
Charges were brought against them and they are facing some very serious fines. To add to their worries, the feds asked the IRS to look into their tax records. These two brothers are farmers and had some very good duck hunting property.
GH---if you want I can give you their phone numbers and let them tell you what the daily limit is. These guys have first hand knowledge.

Greenhead I like the He11 out of ya boy but you are surely showing your age on this post.

Even if the Gamewardens can't get to you it is against all ethic's to double dip.

You should know better and there is no justifcation for it. Simple fact is your breaking the law. And sooner or later you will get caught.
