A friend of mine that I hunt with sent me a pic from one of his places in Belzoni. It was loaded with mallards and pintails. I'll be there right after Xmas. Hope things stay favorable! Good luck this year. :D

Saw some in the lobby of the Peabody! Just kiddin saw 100,000 snows yesterday just outside of Merigold. The holes we have been checking on are holding more and more Mallards. We need a major front to blow thru. Southern Mo is holding lots of ducks need snow and freeze to push them out.

I talked with a guy that passed through the delta this past weekend and say a load of ducks. He had no reason to just out of the blue to tell me that. He was just making conversation, because he knows I duck hunt. This guy does not but he would know a lot of ducks if he seen them. I think many are still in MO for the time being though.

Wingman said that he could put you on the dos dris (gray back) you all had better take him up on it. As you all know the blue bill is the duck of choice in the north and northeast. That is their duck. I can say, that those devils can make you miss. They can hit the after burners. Jack

I've been in the cotton field trying to get this years crop out, I did have a chance to look around Saturday. The outlook in the North Delta does not look good for opening weekend. I only saw about 500 ducks, Saw a bunch of them white geese. The sloughs are were the ducks were. I did not see any #s of ducks in the fields. The rice fields are loaded with food. I can't figure why we are not loaded with ducks, except their just not here yet.

I think if we get a good week of good weather all of the crops will be out and people will hold alot more water. Then maybe the ducks will hang around.

Ain't no ducks in the Delta boys. You best just stay home or deer hunt.

most fields are drained right now and haven't been cut. i have seen some in fields but we need rain to flood fields back up . if these farmers here don't get the rice out the ducks are going to walk back home since they are going to be fat as a hog from all the rice to eat. there is alot of stuff we usually hunt over here that still hasn't been cut yet!!!
