I know that this doesn't apply to MS, but a good friend of mine that hunts with me on our lease in the delta is a Ecologist with the Corp of Engineers in Mobile, AL and he sometimes hunt some public land down there for woodies, he says that right now they are terrible. He has to wade to his holes and I don't thing there is no way in he** you could pay him to do it in the next couple of weeks

Saw 3 in bar pit off levee just south of Chotard Landing. Haven't seen one yet in the oxbow or the river, but havent hunted there much this year because of water levels. But they're rising now. so there's still time.

i'm within 2 feet of my monitor right now.. thats about how close i got to one on the ross barnett a couple of weeks ago.. remember all that fog.. i looked at him.. he was real still... he seemed to be more concerned about staying still and not being deteced by me..

i didn't panic.. but i did give ground...

We've got a 9 foot female and 10 foot male in our hole we just found out. MWFP will be removing them both this summer(so they say).
