Merc 25 boat motor ques?

Merc 25 boat motor ques?

Anyone ever put an elect. start kit on a Merc 25 pull start? Ol' shoulder injury killi'n me pulling the thing off when it's cold. I have a friend that's a pretty good outboard mech (shade tree) but he said we might need a flywheel puller or special tool.

yep you need a flywheel puller. You can rent one at autozone or buy one at parts house for about 30

From just looking at it, doesn't look like the flywheel even needs to come off???
