Berretta automatic

Postby torch » Tue Nov 14, 2006 8:08 am

Ole outlaw josey wales got him a new 12 ga. First shot JAMMED I told him to take that thing back. It cycled fine the next 2 times then jammed again. Tried different ammo same thing. I think he got a bad one.

The Beretta's come with some thick packing grease on them. If you don't take them down and clean them completely, you will get lots of jams. You might ask how I know...yep! I took it straight to the field and wanted to shoot some skeet. Nothing but jams.

I have not had one jam in five years after the complete cleaning.

yea the berettas do come with a lot of that thick as honey packing grease probably would help a lot to completely clean it.

Just shoot 3.5 turkey loads all season and it will loosen it up.(along with your shoulder) Probably is the packing grease but might be a POS lemon.

Seems as if I pay a grand for a gun, I don't want to have to pick and choose to se what shell will eject from it........it better shoot what I want to shoot. Except 20 out of a 12.

Right out of teh box, best to strip new guns with carb cleaner or starting fluid and then lightly lube.
