What's a HIP card???

Postby booger » Thu Aug 23, 2001 8:12 pm

BrianB, I can't remember enough sho 'nuff facts about HIP but the jist of it is that the flyway council a few years ago decided that in order for states to have varying seasons a compromise was reached so that data from each state could be recorded.(Thus justifying it's season etc.) So, when you buy a small game license in another state they should ask you if you plan to hunt migratory birds. goosebruce, by answering the generic questions of zero, 1-10 etc., this lumps you into a statistical pool from which you may get a survey to fill out after the season is over. I received one from Arkansas awhile back due to this.

Again, this is a rough outline from my faded memory banks.

Goose--did you forget to mark down that Sonoran rail you got last year? And did you tell them you hunted 40 days to kill those two ducks?
