Peewee
i'm an old Buddy Baker fan and i hate to see his records broken.... but JR. is the man to do it... Dale Sr. must have thrown some Taledaga genes in that boy...
nothing more boring than 500 miles of green flag racin..... i kinda like to watch a car go back-wards at 200 mph...
my daughter was at the race and she was tuned in on Mark Martin and she said the first thing he said after the incident was "mt steering wheel came off" he later said it was a hydraulic problem.... figure that one out....

Judge I was at the race also, I enjoyed it but you cant help but enjoy it when you are there. It was especially a good race when I saw old 24 off the pace, the crowd went wild. We were listening to MRN at the beginning of the race and they said they thought his steering wheel came off but we didn't tune into # 6's channel so I cant vouch for that. Since my wife is a Tony fan we were glad to see it happen, I knew then that if 20 stayed out of trouble he was gonna make a big move in the points.
Peewee
it was my daughters first race and she came home still excited....{ i got a nice cap out of the deal} i chose to stay home and watch the tube.... gotten too old for the traffic jam.....haha....
was not a good day for Hendrix engine dept..... i could hear the cheers of the crowd when 24 got his hood raised.... kinda put a smile on my face also...{ sorry go24 } i like Stewart, just don't put your hands on him or piss him off.....haha....... i kinda pull for the over 40 gang.....

Hey Judge -
I was listening to Mark and you're daughter is partially correct. Mark said that while he was scrubbing his tires (weaving) the steering locked and he couldn't turn right. His steering wheel never came off. His crewchief thought he might have rubbed the fender too hard but Mark replied that, "No, it's something mechanical." Mark then came back on the radio and said it was fixed and was turning just fine. His crew chief, Ben Leslie, then told him to come into the pits because they wanted to look at it but Mark was forcefully telling them it was fine. You could tell he did not want to come in on the start of the race. He knew he would go a lap down but he obeyed his CC and they found there was no damage. They asked Nascar for one more parade lap but they were denied.
Hindsight being 20/20, Mark should have stayed out and he probably would have gotten a top 10. He ran with the lead pack all day until he cut that tire down.
Overall, I liked the shorter mileage on the fuel. The packs still pretty much stayed together until the last 5 laps when those 4 cars stayed on the track.

Have you jumped off the #29 band wagon?
Heck naw, 29 is my boy, jr is my other boy. I root for both of them. 29 had a heck of a car yesterday just bad luck. I reckon fuel man didn't do his job and empty the can b/c 30 didn't have the same problems. He will be back up there before long, he is too good of a driver. Had some bad luck this year and a few bad cars, he has 8 top 10's and 5 top fives and a win with all the bad luck he has had this year. He will be back, RCR just needs to get reorganized. Look at the Roush camp last year. Noone would have expected them to do crap this year but they fought back hard.
Did anybody see the car at Talladega that had
29, and 8 on one side.
20 on the other
and on the back,
FEAR FEAR
24 IS A QUEER!!
GO BROOKE!!

Martin
Yea I was there too...I think all that Viagra made Martin's arms too stiff - he couldn't turn the car. Sucks for JJ ... in the points lead and get taken out by a stiff geezer...JB
