I'd contact Polaris and let them know how their authorized dealer is acting.

did you go to the courthouse and pay your mississippi tax on your machine. If not I would do so Monday before raising any hell. Just asking not being a smartazz. This could bite you on the booty. Be careful

Trust me I know how you feel.

I guess everyone has different experiences.

Back in the spring, I purchased a Bush Hog brand mower made to pull behind a four wheeler, which I have used since then to mow my 6-7 acre property. On an occassion this summer, when I was mowing the side of a hill, the mower tongue came loose from the hitch point without my knowledge. Because the throttle cable and cut off switch are connected by wires extending from the back rack of the four wheeler to the mower, when the mower came loose, and I kept on driving the four wheeer, it pulled all of these wires loose, including several electrical wires. Oops.

Well, this was not the fault of the machine ---just one of those things that happens from time to time (Schit happens). When I took it back to Chickasaw Equipment to be repaired, I explained what happened. They had my mower repaired and ready to go within a couple of days of dropping it off, and made some helpful suggestions for preventing this occurrence from happening again. They did not charge me anything for fixing it, gave me some better hitch pins to use (ones that lock in place), and helped me load my mower onto my trailer. (BTW, I did not demand a work order since they did not charge me for it).

That mower has worked great all year. I plan to take it back in to them after a couple of more final grass cuttings to have some service work done, blades sharpened, etc. --- to get it ready for next year. Hopefully, I will have as good an experience then as I did this summer after my little mishap.

I will be purchasing a new zero turn radius type of mower this coming spring (the ones that steer and operate like a little tank), and am strongly considering purchasing one from them.

To the poster who started this thread, I don't blame you for being angry about what you described. But, there are others, including me, who have had positive experiences at this dealership.

Also, another equipment dealer in the Tupelo area who does good repair work and renders good customer service is "Four Seasons Equipment". Most of my other yard equipment and implements were purchased there. Good folks who are easy to deal with.

IT never hurts to spread your business around a bit. As the dealership people get to know you by familiarity from your repeat business, the service level just gets better and better.

I'm certainly glad that everyone is free to express their opinion here, both pro and con, about the level of service they receive from different equipment dealerships, sporting goods stores, AND outfitters!!!

I know everyone has bad and good experiences evreywhere and I have had good experiences with them also. Been dealing with them for years on my tractor and never had a problem, but I really didn't appreciate the treatment I recieved and was really pissed about them letting people test ride it. Anyone with a little common sense and respect for others would not have let someone go jump in any Ranger and go test it. The scary thing is, alot of people aren't "heads up" about what mechanics and dealerships really do their vehicles when they are serviced or repaired. Some people just don't know what they are getting because they aren't mechanically inclined(not their fault) and some people are too busy too care, but if you don't watch people they will overcharge you and alot of times they fix things that don't need it, and you really don't know what they do to your stuff while it is there.

If you had time to drive to another state to buy it, you should have time to take it back where you bought to have it fixed. Can you blame the guy for not looking at it. COME ON!!!!! Micah I think this thread should be pulled. Those guys at Chickasaw are good people. I have dealt with them in the past and they have been WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every Polaris dealer should service Polaris products, whether they bought it or not. Maybe he got a good deal in Alabama. I would drive to get a deal too, but I will take it locally to get it serviced. He shouldn't have to drive to where he bought it just to get it looked at.

Yes, he can blame the guy for not looking at it. If he says he's going to look at it, he should look at it... not lie about it. No matter where it is or who it is, that's bad business. If you say you're gonna do something, you should do it... no matter what business you are in.

That's not the point. Point is, I needed service(because that's what they sell...parts and service). They are not making big money selling those things, they are making big money charging huge markup on parts and labor. I am going to need service as long as i own the Ranger and my tractor so they are the winners, they get to make money selling me parts and service from now on. They can make money off servicing and repairing my Ranger and tractor(because if you don't know, dealerships make the majority of their profit on parts and service) for as long as i own them, but they were too lazy to walk 20 feet to let me show them what i what i thought may be wrong(which would have made their lives easier when they got ready to look at it because they would know where to start). Not to mention they let people ride it while it was waiting to get worked on. That's the point.
