Having been a member here for some time, and being an outastater I know ya'll hate internet scouting as well as I do. However, I am dying to hunt the MS river!! If someone would shoot me the name of a guide that hunts the river or shoot me some tips via PM I would really appreciate it.

Alrighty let me have it!:D:D

lab

there arent many guide services that venture out on the river this far south mainly because of liability issues and the terrific amount of fluctuation in the water levels, anyone that guided hunts on the river I would think would have to maintain the ability to hunt inland in off years

the reason is for years just like we are having now, the water is so low at this point it is virtually nothing but a channel...consequently very little backwater

plus there are terrific legal issues involved with hunting backwater and who actually has rights to hunt it

I dont think you are going to have much luck finding a guide and would be better served making friends with someone that would be willing to take you

just some friendly advice. the risk is not worth the reward. every year between memphis and clarksdale there is a fatality. just my opinion.
