Big thanks to DoubleR2 and Chuckle12

Postby noles97 » Tue Nov 29, 2005 8:56 am

Well, I took the plunge and bought in @ Willow Break. Everyone there was very nice and I had a good time on opening weekend. I wanted to publicly thank Double R and Chuckle12 for all the help. I had only been to the property on 1 other occasion so I was not very familiar with the set up or the other shareholders. They went out of their way to help me and my 2 guests out with hunting and scouting the property while we were there. As Double R said the ducks were thin but it gave us a chance to get a good look at the property and meet with some of the other members. We even got to do a little herd management and take a doe (140#) while we were there.

I am looking forward to many great years of hunting and to meet more of you here on MSDUCKS in person now that I am a shareholder out there during the teal hunts etc. Thank you again to both of you, it was very nice to get some help, especially during opening weekend when there was certainly other things that you could have been doing.

Tally

Weim,

I still have the place in Tally. I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet. As of now I am praying for rain of course to fill in the hole that we just had built over the summer. I will probably hold onto it for another place to hunt, but again, I am not sure yet for the long haul.

Welcome aboard!

Nole97's first hunt at the club Saturday morning. We'd been waiting an hour maybe an hour and a half - not a shot fired. A greenhead comes low, right at the decoy. I didn't shoot because I wanted him to, and he didn't shoot because he wanted Forrest to. Forrest shot and missed, but helluva great gesture.

See you in December, hopefully a bunch more ducks.

Noles, some fellow was at your camp this past weekend. Started to stop in and say hey. You might have to lease me that camphouse for next year. Sure got some good memories of that place.

Camphouse

Postby noles97 » Tue Nov 29, 2005 11:06 pm

Weim,

We were up there for the opener on Friday in Tally. There was so little water and it seemed that Billy D. had all the ducks so we headed down to Vicksburg to see the crew at Willow Break. It was us that you saw there, and I wish you would have stopped to say hey. I am going to be back up the 15-19, running between Tally and Vicksburg depending on the water situation and where the ducks are. If you see us at the camphouse stop on by.

Noles,

Looking forward to meeting you. Did Ramsey tell you about the initiation rituals for new members? He usually forgets to mention the important stuff.

See you soon,
Ian

Ritual

Postby noles97 » Thu Dec 01, 2005 10:46 am

Ian,

Ramsey did tell me about an initiation, he told me that it included all the current members each donating a case of Hevi Shot to the new member, and each of them sending the new member a Christmas card with a $100 bill in it. I am really looking forward to the intiation if that is in fact the case.

I also look forward to meeting you, I am planning another trip at this point for the weekend of 12/15 to 12-19. I hope you guys have not killed off all the new birds by the time I get up there.

Good luck!
