crow when you mention atherns bands... you gotta mention panic!!!!

athens.. is a really cool place... neat downtown for sure....

even though i'm a fan of msu, starkville nightlife sucksssssss!!!!

it has gotten a little better since they opend a couple of joints up downtown...

still when i think back about it ... it amazes me how the leadership in starkville missed out on this all these years.. i mean when i gradutaed from there in 94.. plenty of students still routinley made trips out to the cross-roads..

it would have been much better for everybody to keep those students and their dollars in starkville...

strakville's leardership was so bad that the guy who was mayor before camp... whatever his name was he just barley beat out an um alum>>>

that says alot right there

Yeah, what Crow said.... I swear Athens is the Mecca as far as college towns go.... Not to take anything away from Oxford or Baton Rouge...but Athens is the King.... Course you have to study there to stay in school, so that may be why the others are ranked higher on the "Party School" list

only thing i disagree w/ my man crow about is that there is ONE PLACE (and it's a college town) that can compete w/ athens and vandy for music.....hell, this joint i'm talking about might would stomp a mudhole in both......

AUSTIN TEXAS......problem w/ it is it's SO big a town. spent 4 days there recently so i'm told....

lived just outside of boulder, co, one summer and that place can tho down too...

Bigwater I member those days at the crossroads. I member that little purple car of yours, and I still refuse to drink that barrel aged wild turkey. Thats the worst hangover I ever had.

Oh yeh George when you gonna come down here and go fishin with me you can bring that umbrella hat of yours.

Crow... UGA came in 12th on the party school list. Had alot of people tell me that Ole Miss and UGA are a toss up when it comes to the "eye candy." Anyway... its 5 in Georgia... I'M OUT!

i can agree with Crow's description of Athens..... to me it falls in like Mottlet was describing Milsaps to Ole Miss, when comparing Ole Miss to UGA, Athens seemed like the square, only ALOT bigger and ALOT more people

B-80, now don't go gettin' too serious about that "eye-candy" at UGA. Remember, I have a sophmore daughter over there!

Now, I've studied both places and UGA can't hold a candle to the over-all quality of women on campus. But UGA has so many! Driving down Milledge Ave. in the afternoon is almost more than this ole boy can stand! Talk about feeling like a dirty old man!

Most ALL college towns are going to have plenty of partying just depends on which ones you have been too. I have done my fair share at Ole Miss that is for sure.

Spent three summers in Madison, WI for bank school at The University of Wisconsin. That place is nuts.

I've got all of ya'll beat, ....this one time at band camp on the campus of Slippery Rock, we reeeeeally got wild and craaaaazzzzzyyyyyyyyy, dranking alkehol like a band of indians on a 3 day pass outside of the reservation, dancing nekid around a fire like Mr. Tater on crack, playing with our band instruments in new and exciting experimental ways, and chanting mystical incantations to the fertility gods ....it was waaaayyyy coool.

As a Tech Yellowjacket, I have to hate UGA... but I have to admit that Athens is one helluva party town with a TON of eye candy. Of course we made do in Hotlanta with Buckhead, too.

I have to say the nightlife in Starkville is "lacking". Thankfully Beale Street is 2.5 hours north and Bourbon Street is 4.5 hours south.
