Whiteboy has been out there both days but I have not gotten off work early enough to make it. He said Nike was in the lead today when he left but I think they were still running. Maybe he will post up and give us some details. He did say they were running some long chit today in the field trial section and alot of dogs were having trouble with it.

I have never been to a test site and was planning on going friday. I just found out my wife has to go out of town and I will have my 4 and 5 year old boys. My question is will they be in the way, and will it be something they would enjoy? They love helping me with our two 5 month old labs and I thought they might enjoy watching other dogs.

go ahead, the gallery is far enough off the retrieving line that you won't be in the way. tests are generally designed so that folks can watch with the family.

Saw some nice dogs run today. 3 series in one day. 1st was about a 370 yard water blind. Second was a hunt test with triple, blind, and honor. 3rd was field trial marks. It was a triple with the first bird a retired gun straight up the middle across the pond on the hill side about 250-300 yards, dogs had to cross several pieces of land at angles. The second/left bird was thrown into some timber/crap about 125-150 yards. The third was a shot flyer on the right side across the pond about 50 yards up the hill for a total of about 200-225 yards. Dog also had to cross three or four sections of land.

Alex W. and Ready took first, Dusty(04derby dog) and Dan Heard took second (that is a bad booty little dog). Elvis and Jim Haller took 3rd(Probably one of the nicest people I have ever met). Cutter and Bill Hillman got 4th. I don't know the rest as far as places but I figure Brick Hejiek or Jerry Day was 5th and 6th but not sure what order.

Some very nice dogs and great people. That is by far the nicest grounds I have ever seen for anything like this.
