I'm with soft call. They guy is a jakeleg game hog animal killin peepee. Why shoot a hippo? No one can give me a good reason as to why a hippo needs to be shot. Sure they are dangerous when they charge buy why whould you want to hunt one? I imagine that is a lot like hunting manatees in Fla.

I wonderered why the cape had a bloody nose in the first setting. I guess he had been licking his wounds.

How can anyone defend this guy, he is the worst of the worst. He antangonizes the the animals to the point they charge him and he blows a 2 inch hole in them all for the cameras so people will say " wow that guy has a set" "Gaa, that guy is cool" And I am with you blackduck, why in gods name would you shoot a hippo- all for show and cameras. What a friggin joke.
Are you ready?

Its all for the adrenaline junkies of the world. Kinda of like bear hunting over garbage cans. Listen to some crazy scarry stories from the guide service, follow the guide out the next day get on a stand, "don't come down for any reason", and shoot the bears that come to the can. Its really about the adrenaline rush you get with the charge. Not saying it's the right thing to do. But, plenty of people do it.

AND HE AINT BEING HUNTED....let him pull that crap with a dominant male African lion....I got 10 to one odds on the lion at 10 feet

He has done it with Lions. He has five video's one is on cats. Order one of his tapes and watch it before you go to judging him too much. The two tapes I watched showed no wounding on purpose.
It is his belief that you should give the animal the choice between flee or fight. If they choose to fight he does just what you have seen.

Tapes are 49.95 each -- Then maybe you boys have a right to say something about the man, until then your just talking crap.

More people are killed in Africa from Hippo's than any other animal.
I don't recall seeing or hearing of any man killing manatees.

I agree with you about the Adrenaline junkies, and can think of no good reason to hunt a hippo. I do however want to hunt a bear. It is not about adrenaline, but about wanting to kill a bear for food, sport and a bear skin rug. I can see no difference in the bear hunt than the guy who sits on a deer stand over a food plot. I also don't care much for deer hunting other than meat and did not get a rush even after killing an eleven point. The only enjoyment was that I actully called this deer in, and no it was not on a food plot.

There are ways to put yourself at risk without killing something that useless to do it. Why not jump out of a plane and see how close you can get to the ground before you pull the rip cord?

I heard a story about a big game hunter who vanished into the brush. He came out 6 years later and was using a sharp stick and a bag of rocks to kill big cats....

Now THAT --- is doing something..........

I bet he didn't take a camera man either.

I AGREE ABOUT WHY HIPPO'S I UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS ANIMALS IN THE WORLD BUT KNOWNING THAT WHY WOULD YOU APPROACH ONE? HE GIVES THEM A CHOICE TO FLEE OR CHARGE WELL WHAT A NICE GUY OF COURSE ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS IS GOING TO CHARGE YOU TO PROTECT HIS SURROUNDING DONT WE ALL. TO ME THIS GUY HAS A SET OF BALLS FOR SURE BUT USE THEM IN SOME OTHER WAY..
If some animals are good at hunting and others are suitable for hunting, then the Gods must clearly smile on hunting.

he walks up on the first buffalo and makes the remark."we could shoot him now, or we can let that buffalo decide how he's gonna die"....the buff's already been shot....blood coming outta it's nose usually means a severe wound..prolly lungs....how 'sportsmanlike' of this jerkwad to let the buffalo decide it's own demise...notice all the buffalo's in the scenes have bloody faces.....several of the hippo's aren't charging them...they're trying to get away..one is shot broadside fleeing the scene...It seems most of them are hemmed up and have no choice...fight or flight...

some are gonna say it's hunting...I say bullcrap...it's unhumane and cruel ...when I hunt I do my best to conceal myself in everyway...I don't want the animals I'm hunting to know they're being hunted...to intentionally wound an animal then stalk up to it-within yards of a frightened, hurt animal-well, it's just what PETA is looking for...I completely 100% disagree with it and I hope next time he tries to film a kill his gun malfunctions....

and I don't need to buy a $49.99 video to tell he's a peepee...got that from the 2 minute advertisement posted..
BWHAHAHAHAHAHA.....sheesh :?

He's full of stuffing. Period. Hippo slayer. Mighty interesting. I have no other comment. Those who follow are probably like him.
