A little off-season fun

That's a sweet setup. We've considered one like that but we don't have hogs regularly enough to justify it, yet. Have you considered using one of the trail cameras that sends a picture to you as soon as it's tripped? This has helped us tremendously with killing hogs. Phone buzzes, look at the pic, hogs are there, hop in the truck, ease up to the field, and let the fun begin!

How far away do those trail cameras work at night? If the range is just a few yards I’d have to be very precise on my placement to get them to work? Never know exactly where in a field they may come out.

20-30 yards tops. You'd have to put it on a trail that they use frequently or put out a pile of corn with some molasses on top in front of the camera (that's what we've been doing).

If I weren’t so prone to motion sickness I’m sure I would’ve probably already done this. But barfing everywhere while trying to shoot hogs really doesn’t sound like that much fun to me.

Typical government/healthcare BS. Many drug stores carry the non-prescription version which is 25 mg behind the counter. You simply have to ask for the pharmacist to get it for you.

A prescription of the same 25 mg product cost well over $100.

Dr. told me I could take up to 100 MG, but that’ll leave me hung over for about two days.

Speaking of healthcare BS. I take blood pressure medicine daily as I am sure some of you do. Monthly supply of my medication cost me around $15 per month.

Would anyone like to guess how much a 90 day supply of the same medication costs me?

The answer is not necessarily a certain number. The Answer could be:

A 90 day supply cost me the _ _ _ _ thing.

I only wanted 90 day prescriptions just to keep me out of the pharmacy as frequently. Too many sick people in there.

My offseason will be consisting of starting up a new camp on our property. It has just been my cousin and myself hunting it but it has not been hunted a lot. His dads side of the family has been hunting on Steele Bayou since the 30’s so he has spent most of his time over there. Well they are losing their land in the state purchase. So him and I are starting a camp on our place with a couple of close friends that hunted over there. We have lots of work to get the place ready. Have to put in highway access for the spot we want to make the campsite. Run electricity and water, get cabin and campers moved in, fix creek crossings, clear out some more food plots and plenty of other things. So that’s what my time and money will be going to. Looking forward to having a camp
With great friends on a place that holds a special meaning to me.
