I don't think he really understands what "I'll own it" means.
How do you unknowingly pay a player and his mother's bills? How do you unknowingly have an agreement in place as to what that amount should be?
How do you unknowingly commit 8 level I violations?
How do you unknowingly lie directly to recruits about what is in an NOA that you have in hand about committing violations?
You guys remember when Bjork said this in February (obvious before the Memorial weekend release of the NOA and Response as well as the Tunsil Draft night fiasco)?
[quote“We pride ourselves, I think, on having a great staff, a great community, doing things right, doing the right thing,” Bjork said. “Integrity is one of our core values. And so when that comes into question, it’s easy to be defensive about that, but we’ve really taken the approach that we believe in who we are. We’re not afraid of that. We’re really fearless in our approach and building the program.”
Ole Miss plans to release the notice of allegations and its response in the future, something Bjork said he’s looking forward to doing in an effort to present Ole Miss’ case publicly.
“
We can’t wait to reveal all this,” Bjork said. “
We’re ready to tell that story. We’re looking forward to the day to when we can tell this story and put it out there and be transparent beyond what we’ve already done... We’re welcoming that day to tell our story. We just can’t do it right now.”][/quote]
I guess what he could not wait to tell was that they would admit to the allegations, for the most part, and self-impose a slap on the wrist compared to what other schools have received for similar behavior. That Ross Bjork, of course, has not idea that two months later evidence would be posted on draft night that showed his staff arranging payment of the bills of a player and his mother.
With respect to a number of posters on here that I have respect for, this is just too much to ignore. I can honestly admit, if Miles and Alleva were doing the exact same thing, I would be washing my hands of LSU football until they were gone. There is just way to much evidence out there of serious issues. That is not the issue though for me...it is the constant barrage of lies by the head coach that turns around and quotes scripture that has put a burr under my saddle. I am not an OM fan, but I am a Christian and that really rubs me the wrong way.
