Bama
Bama is about to start an extremely though stretch of games
@ UGA
Arkie
@A&M
Tennessee
LSU
@MSU
I think they lose at least one of these if not 2.
We will find out exactly how good UGA is, Akie is a good matchup for Bama
On the road at A&M could be a problem with the pass rush they have.
Not sure UT is there yet but very well could upset somebody.
LSU should be the usual brutal physical game it always is.
If state finds a run game they could be dangerous also.
If Bama somehow comes out of this without another loss they obviously should be back in the top 5 and have an outside shot at playoffs.

@ UGA (Loss)
Arkie (Win)
@A&M (Win)
Tennessee (Win)
LSU (Win)
@MSU (Loss)
I think they lose two in that stretch. More interesting to me though is that if they lose to UGA this weekend, they will be all but eliminated from SEC contention in the first week of October because OM will hold the head to head tie-breaker...meaning Ole Miss would have to lose three SEC games for Alabama to win the West. OM ain't losing three SEC games this year.
Alabama's problems are more than the QB woes too. They have issues at WR and in the defensive backfield. Their special teams is not special either.
Maybe I am reading more into things than I should, but it seems to me that Saban does not appear to be as engaged as he once was on the sideline and even when interviewed.
What is amazing is that they will be in essentially the same spot next year, if not worse off. They will likely be starting a new QB (assuming Coker keeps the reins). They lose some players on defense and will lose Henry on offense. LSU and aTm should be really good next year. Things will not get too much easier.
One wonders (fingers crossed), if Saban is at the end.

Re: Bama
I agree one more loss and they are done because either ole miss or LSU will have one loss of less. I think WR is the biggest issue on offense. Special teams is far from special. The FG kicker has seemed to settle in but our punter has sucked and returns have been horrible. Next year I think the offense will be much better. Yeah they lose Henry and Drake but that is nothing new. They have others waiting to take over there assuming they live up to recruiting rankings. Defense will have some spots to replace next year but that is pretty normal for Bama as that is where the NFL has really hurt them over the years. I think they will actually be better at the QB position next year.
Re: Bama
if bammer comes out of that gauntlet without a loss, i'd be surprised. in fact, if they do, i'll get row tahd tatoo'd on me a s s cheeks.mshunter77 wrote:Bama is about to start an extremely though stretch of games

Re: Bama
Bama by 10 this weekend. If anybody watched the ga/vandy game, when vandy applied pressure to ga's qb, he went crazy. Bama will apply lots of pressure this weekend.

I always heard you were a man of your word...
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.
Re: Bama
You heard correctly. In "real life", if I tell you a piss ant can pull a freight train, you can strap a harness on him & watch him pull! On the interweb, there are grains of salt in everything that is typed. The folks that know me in "real life" know if what I say on the interweb is salty or not. Those same folks know I wouldn't trash my body with anything bammer.RedEyed Duck wrote:eSJay wrote:if bammer comes out of that gauntlet without a loss, i'd be surprised. in fact, if they do, i'll get row tahd tatoo'd on me a s s cheeks.mshunter77 wrote:Bama is about to start an extremely though stretch of games

RTR! Tough game. Did Henry seal the deal for the heisman?
41 carries, 271 yds, 1 TD.

Henry has toted the load this season and banked some huge numbers; got my vote

Re: Bama
If he has a decent outing against the gators it is his. That is a tough defense to run on.
