Funny you mention that...........
You know it's bad when you've got about 100 birds on the water, and you've got several groups of 5-10 gads circling here and there........just refusing to come in.

I mean it was bird swimming and flapping all over the place........and they'd come down and flare off, cup and flare, cup and flare. I would have to say it took an average # of 10 circles for a group to come down. It took one circle for the woodies and mallards.....they just happened to land outside of my range.......even for 3.5's. I couldn't get into the back hole......beaver run was over my head so I had to settle for the front chute hole that leads into the back. I could've gotten all the gads and woodies I wanted......but I was gonna be greedy waiting for the green. I sat there and watched all those birds pile in and never fired a shot til all of them got in there at 6:45 and got them up.........missed a bird 3 times........had 2 groups of gads to come back 10 min later.......circled and circled and circled and flared and flared and flared, probably still had 50 birds still in the hole that never left. I had a good shot at the group on the last pass, but another group busted through on the crosswind and flared them off. It's gonna take a boat to get in there, in the process of trying to figure out how since I'm being forced to go back to work tomorrow for no reason when I'm wanting to take off these last 2 weeks.
