They look stupid to me......even stupider with a loss
Re: Uniforms
I think I couldn't care less about a doggone uniform.

Re: Uniforms
Uniform stuff is required under contract. We kept wearing the 100 year ones because of the winning streak.
Re: Uniforms
outside looking in, but the uniforms were "ghetto"............and the coach is a friggin' jerk.
note: neither of which have much to do with the product on the field.
jeffery - what winning streak are you talking about?

Re: Uniforms
not b/c I'm an Ole Miss fan...the gold accent stuff MSU did and has done couple times looks like it should be done in Lorman MS at Alcorn or somewhere in the SWAC. I'd be embarassed, even if my team beat everybody 100-0. It looks terrible and "you know what".
Re: Uniforms
I doubt any of us are listening to our teams' favorite warmup music in our trucks either. I barely care enough to type these two sentences.

Re: Uniforms
I think if it's what gets recruits interested in coming to play in Starkville, MS then so be it.
I'm not saying I like them, not saying I don't, but if the players and recruits like them, then I'm all for it.
Furthermore, it seems like fans from a school who has given up so many traditions (Colonel Reb, Dixie, From Dixie with Love) all in the name of recruiting (yea right) wouldn't be so quick to bash another school for some uniforms. Why don't y'all handle your own housekeeping before you try and handle ours.

Re: Uniforms
I guess I just like the Matte Maroon and when the uniforms come out they are just ugly. That's my opinion and it makes more sense it being a contract issue.
Can someone explain why we lost/changed from Nike?

Re: Uniforms
I get your point but the locker room music isn't on display on national TV as a representation of an entire university not just those individuals playing on that team. Big difference...and hillhunter, just cause my school made those decisions doesn't mean I supported them. I wish on Saturday when I turned on CBS the entire state of MS had been represented by the old school maroon and white of MSU and Col Reb patrolling the sidelines with Dixie playing in the background b/c that's the Mississippi football I grew up on and I think represents far more of the every men that support the teams and none of that should offend anyone, maybe it impresses 18 year old kids but I don't care...maybe I'm wrong and unique in my opinion, I'm sure I am to some degreestang67 wrote:I doubt any of us are listening to our teams' favorite warmup music in our trucks either. Re: Uniforms
I don't disagree one bit, and my post wasn't directed at you really. Let's just say it was directed at the plethora of OM fans who have posted on multiple sites about the uniforms. Do I like the uniforms? Not really. But they are the last ones who should be casting out stones about decisions upper management make.... Whether it's uniforms, mascots, songs, slogans, hashtags, field paint or anything else.camlock wrote:I get your point but the locker room music isn't on display on national TV as a representation of an entire university not just those individuals playing on that team.
