Honda ATV dealer recommendation needed
Honda ATV dealer recommendation needed
Looking for a good Honda dealership and a contact name. I'm in Ridgeland. Don't mind driving a couple hours. I'm sure there is a dealership within a couple hours that provides good customer service and has competitive pricing on the ATV and accessories. I plan to buy a Pioneer and my son just sold his ATV and he wants a Foreman. Appreciate any contact dealerships and someone to ask for at the dealership. Anyone have a good experience buying Honda ATV's?

Bought a new Rancher from Got Gear a few months ago......I had planned to go to Laurel or Brookhaven, didn't think there was any need to even try GG, but they were happy to match Laurel's price...good service. I'd go back.

Same owners at GG. I don't know about price matching and what they will and won't do. Friend tried to buy last year two Polaris Rangers and they wouldn't match other dealer price. They may have changed and will do that now. I'm looking for other options to buy from. I likely won't be buying from them but do want to find a good dealership. I've read in past some have had good experience in Brookhaven. I bought from Bardwell yamaha in Brookhaven the last two I bought but they are out of business now and those were Yamaha. Thinking someone on here may work at another dealership or know someone who does. Just nice to have a referral. My hunch is all of them will be close in price.

The last 2 honda's I bought came from Brookhaven. I called all over the state and no one could beat their prices. Got gear was $1400 more for the same bike. The big savings at Brookhaven is on your accessories. They don't charge you a shop cost on them to install, and other dealerships do. I always dealt with a guy named Scotty, but I don't know if he is there anymore.

Brookhaven Honda has sold all the Pioneers they are getting. Not even taking waiting list. Honda must have very limited supply.

People give you mixed reviews, but I had an excellent experience with Lakehill in Corinth. They were also much cheaper than anyone in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama.
Re: Honda ATV dealer recommendation needed
How much difference in price are you all talking about with Brookhaven and Lake Hill? Is $500 - $800 worth a 6 hour 450 mile round trip drive to Corinth from Madison?
Between Brookhaven, Lake Hill, Got Gear, Desoto, Big Delta, and my local guy (Top Dog), about $650 is all the difference in cost I could find for the Honda Foreman I was looking at earlier this year. Top Dog wasn't the most expensive, but was $350 higher than the cheapest (Desoto). Not sure about now, but in the past Top Dog wouldn't service your ATV if you didn't buy it from there. So, taking it to another Honda dealer meant another drive. That wouldn't be worth it to me.

Re: Honda ATV dealer recommendation needed
I'm not hung up on driving for best deal. I want someone who wants to sell a unit and will service it timely. Assuming price is fairly competitive. Just prefer to be treated right. Didn't feel that way at all at another dealership. Also will want accessories. . Had a good phone conversation with Vernon at Top Dog. Vernon is near my camp so he is a good choice from that standpoint. Just have to decide about a polaris. Just didn't think I would ever consider owning one after all the horror stories I have heard over past 10 years. No doubt other manufacturers are chasing polaris side by sides now. Vernon isn't a fan of new Pioneer. He suggested polaris 900 xp eps. About 3k more than Pioneer. He said way better unit than pioneer. Got me thinking about 900 now. Another dealership who sells both was also more positive on 900. Only 900 Vernon has is a limited edition metallic red or some blue color. I'd prefer green. Of course almost zero Pioneers in Ms. Knock on Pioneer has been the transmission and it not having the low end needed. The knock on Ranger has been belt drive. It is easier to decide on a dang pick up than it is a side by side.

Re: Honda ATV dealer recommendation needed
Brookhaven Honda sold out of Pioneers. All they hope to get this year are spoken for. Salesman I spoke to needs to find another job where no people skills required. Obviously a Huge volume dealership where this salesperson cared little about customer service. This same experience was experienced at a couple dealerships. Don't know how some stay in business. I'd be ticked if I heard salespeople where I work dealing with customers the way some do. Hard to find good help I guess.
Ended up buying from Greenville Motor Sports. Will pick it up this week. Good experience so far. Very responsive salesperson. Fair price on utv and accessories. A lady named Beverly is the salesperson, she has worked at this dealership for 10 years. I emailed dealership inquiring about Pioneer. She emailed me back promptly and we then spoke on the phone. All dealings were done over the phone. So far so good.

As a Happy-As-Hell to no longer be a Polaris owner, one wonders why Honda is selling every Pioneer they can ship and have a waiting list most places??? One also needs to ask what the margin is for the dealer when they push this-one-over-that one. Trust someone who has represented dealerships......and who actually owns a Pioneer....
Here is my Pioneer doing something my Polaris never did: Not stranding me 2 miles from the nearest road.
