State played a complete game tonight, probably the best one in a couple of years. Right up to the point where Mullen started playing his subs way too early.... And he should have kicked that field goal. Never leave points off the board... Your not there to be courteous, your there to score and win... Hope he learned his lesson about taking his foot off the gas.

Other than that the defense showed up tonight, and the offense played with urgency on almost every drive. Congrats to the dawgs, an upset over a ranked opponent has been a long time coming and doing it in Death Valley makes it a little sweeter. Another bright note..... We kicked 2 field goals and didn't miss an PAT. Woo hoo!!

Congratulations Dawgs. That was the biggest manhandling of LSU at home I have seen in recent memory.

I can't imagine what was going through MSU fans heads at the end of the 4th quarter. How LSU managed to come back blows my mind, they were completely outplayed in all phases of the game. To have a chance to win that game at the end would give me nightmares. Congratulations ya'll after years of loosing to LSU ya'll deserved the win last night. (All that being said just for GH22 I would have LOVED to see it implode on the last play of the game!)

Largest crowd ever at LSU ...

... to leave in the 3rd quarter.

As a 7-yr BR resident, last night was dang satisfying. Night games at TS are worth 2-3 TDs, IMO. While the ending was a bit gut wrenching (courtesy of Mullen feeling the need to get his second stringers some minutes in front of a bunch of fans dressed as bleachers), it was a rout. We did whatever we wanted in front of the largest crowd to ever see a game there. I've watched a lot of LSU football as an impartial spectator -- they DO NOT get dominated like that at home EVAR.

Congrats Dawgs, looks like a long year in Baton Rouge. LSU has a young team, losing 9-10 a year is starting to show. A lot of young talent out there.

DOMINATED for the first 55 minutes or so then it started going south. I felt like I was dreaming the whole game then the fear set in.

Glad we pulled it out though and proud of the Dawgs for that win. Very impressive to say the least. DWS is going to be absolutely nuts next weekend!

I think Mullen now knows when you've got a chance to put points on the board, you do it. Kick that FG inside the 5 and the remainder of the game is a moot point.

I didn't realize how big this win was to the MSU fanbase until saw (& heard) a truck load of grown men riding through my neighborhood ringing cowbells & hollerin' the same thing as the subject of this post.

So, now that mule-in has the "unable to beat a ranked team" monkey off his back, what's next? Atlanta? MNC?
