$600-$1000 a year? Whats your target price, or what do you think it should be insured for?

Double that and then some!deltadukman wrote:$600-$1000 a year? Whats your target price, or what do you think it should be insured for?
I really don't have a 'target' price but have a hard time paying 1/4 a year what the things worth to insure it.
Just want to insure against theft, and if something unforeseen (tree/tractor/softball hail) decided to play patty cake with it, I'll have insurance on it.

That does seem high. That being said, the loss ration on ATVs/UTVs is high. Lots of people "accidently" fall in mudholes and down them out and get paid for it. Snorkels and all. And they get stolen a lot.

Got my 2013 Polaris Crew added on to home owner policy....I just had to list it separately....$234.00 annually.
Re: UTV Insurance?
I got mine insured through State Farm with a $1000 deductible and it was $175 per year. 2014 Can-Am Commander camo XT?? 800. Not the most expensive UTV out there, but CERTAINLY not the cheapest either.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day
Re: UTV Insurance?
2013 Gator was $400ish a year with State Farm. All our stuff is with them.
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

I use Progressive for my Ranger, tractor, and all sorts of things like that. They have always been the best when I've shopped around.

Re: UTV Insurance?
Be careful with that. I've heard of instances where people did that and it wasn't located at home when it was stolen and therefore it wasn't covered. (The Fine Print)dukluk wrote:Got my 2013 Polaris Crew added on to home owner policy....I just had to list it separately....$234.00 annually.

Unless a atv/utv is used to service and maintain the property listed on the homeowners, it technically isnt covered. You cant say you use your polaris ranger to service a zero lot line home in a subdivision. Thats the most common misconception in atv/homeowners insurance. And it for sure isnt supposed to be covered while at the camp or riding on a trailer. If you've had one and it was paid, awesome. But dont be suprised if they deny a claim either.
