UTV Winch??????????

Postby quackerkiller » Fri Jun 13, 2014 2:55 pm

Looking at putting a winch on a Polaris Ranger 500.... Ive never needed one in the 3 years ive had it, but I know one day I prolly will. My question is what is a good winch for that buggy? Ive looked at the Viper and Warn....Ive always used the Warn winches, but the Vipers are alot cheaper... I have heard they are good winches though. What do yall think? Thanks guys....

vipers 4500 on my Big Red, only advise i'd give is set it high to keep from having to work it submerged. that is what really kills a viper winch

just my $.02

I have a 4500 Warn on mine. Several folks I know have Vipers, and have been happy with them. They are a good bit less expensive than a Warn.
