Oh, you can save $280 or so by NOT using the Honda stick stoppers, and going with strong-built off E-bay. Did I mention Honda's accessory prices are EXTORTION? That is why the P2 is so inexpensive for what you get. They stick you on all the toys. That is all.

Watch the front axles on them though, i know of 3-4 that have broken them with stock tires.

Gulfcoast, what accessories do you have on yours? I know I want the roof and windshield (probably just pony up and let the dealer install these). May get the stick stoppers? I assume they are easy enough to bolt on if I get them off ebay?

What else? I was told the winch kit was nearly a $1000, so probably gonna skip this. Stock tires and wheels will be plenty for me as I don't do mud riding and I don't visit the delta gumbo often, if ever.

I have the hard top, light bars fore and aft, the acessory switch panel, storage bag hanging thing (a must), a Warn ProVantage 4500-s winch on a KFI mount (I have a little less than $700 in buying the winch/mount, and that is a caddy winch, going non-honda will save you $500 easily), stick stoppers, and the accessory rear bumper. I have done just fine with the stock tires. I am not sure I could get it in the garage with 27 or 28" tires.

If I had it to do over, I would totally skip the aux switch panel, take the warning label off the dash and remount it to the back of the roof (damn lawyers), and wire in the switches right there with an aftermarket panel (search at Hondasxs.com or hondapioneerforum.com), and I would buy Rigid light bars. You want the rear bumper, IMHO. I am thinking about putting an extra battery under the hood and rewiring my lights and winch off of it, just to save hours when only running the lights.

On the height thing, its the hard top that adds 5 or 6" to the bike. If you don't have the hard top, you could slap some 28's on there no problem and get it in a garage. I dunno how well it would do with 30's due to the tranny. Several guys are running 28's without a lift kit with no issues.

For gun racks, most folks are using the Great Day overhead gun rack for the Pioneer. I have one, but think that something better will come along soon as the aftermarket kicks in.

Seems that people that say it's under powered are comparing to a polaris 900 or can am. .

Everything, including Chuck Norris, is underpowered compared to a big 1000 CanAm. The folks that do thier outside legal work gonna be happy, happy, happy! Sad, but true.

Around here, you can get out the door on a P2 (2 seater) for $10K, I think $12K for the P4. Bone stock.

The P4 is identical to the P2 other than the bed having swing out sides and pop up bucket seats, and extended roll bars/seat belts. Its a cool idea, but I would rather be able to haul stuff than haul extra people 99% of the time, and the P4 design won't let you do both at the same time. You have to pick stuff or people. The P4 is a little heavier for the same engine with the extra roll bars and such. For folks that mostly want to ride with spouse and kids, its the bomb, due to how short it is for 4 seats. The seats are actually pretty comfortable (but you won't confuse them with car seats). I knew I would seldom ever use the back seats, and would get crap in them like mud from hauling dog stands, sopping wet decoys, crates of poopy ducks/pheasants for dog training and such.
