Boat Blind Builder

Who is the best boat blind builder? Don't I always see mention of a guy around Greenwood or Carroll County that builds them? Or, would y'all recommend a certain manufacturer/name brand for a War Eagle 1860? I seem to remember most always fussing about the Durability of an Avery Pop up Blind.

You could always go talk to Gale Roark at Case IH. I have hunted out of several he has made. They have all been well built durable blinds. Just a suggestion.

Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?

I know it would be right if Gail built it......he can build anything. Just worried it would sink my boat due to weight. :D

He builds it on the boat.
I'd bet he's done building them for the season and will start back on them in the summer.

I am rough on equipment. I have the quickset. Have used it for 3 years without issue with a crazy brown dog jumping all over everthing. Its the easiest and quickest boat blind by far. As far as the traditiional greenwood style blinds go. I have them all. BF builds a great blind but for easy to use go with avery and order 25 lbs of rafia from js stern.

My 2 pennies.

+1. Never used anything else but the quickset, but it's been durable. I like that the center pivot style is a lower profile as the quickset comes up about 3' straight off the gunnel before partially covering the top. But I've only used the quickset, so I can't comment on other blinds.

My last quick set was nice I liked it alot better then the Mud Buddy that I have right now.

I have had several quicksets on different rigs and never been disappointed. I have tried beavertail and a few others just prefer the quick set. I have made mods on my 1860 to make it cover more of the top. The new one is lighter has straps and plenty of material. The new one doesn't have pins to keep up with either.
