got a banded greenhead drake with my A 5 yesterday and my 9 year old babe got it mite her last duck season she got a lot of ducks over the years gald she got to get one I hunted hard for 16 years I 55 so thebodds are not in my favor to get a nother one it was banded maddaford marsh , yorkton , saskatchewan , canda coordinates
lat 51.01639; lon 102.38722 banded 8 / 9 2012 hatched 2011 or earlier got 12 / 17 2013

Congrats. I've killed 2, but neither time were they 100% clear cut my birds. First one was a bird I crippled and my brother finished it off. Next was a fast and furious woody hunt with my dad. We didn't realize until after the hunt that one of our 6 wood ducks were banded and it was a drake. I know I only shot drakes and my dad shot 2 hens and 1 drake. My brother and I also shot the same bird at the same time and it turned out to be banded. It came to rock paper scissors and I lost. Who really cares though. They make a ton of noise on a lanyard and flare duck anyhow. (that's what I tell myself at least).
