can someone take me duck hunting

Postby cubrn » Fri Dec 06, 2013 11:02 am

I have been an avid deer hunter since i could walk. And now at 38 yrs old the duck hunting bug has bitten me. I killed a couple of mallards last year on my place in holmes county on the big black but mostly wood ducks. I have the best deer hunting i could ask for which i could swap out a hunt. But unfortunately we do not allow guest to kill bucks. We only shoot 130 or better deer. But i could offer a first class lodge and all the does you want. I just want to go on a real duck hunt and maybe meet some new friends in the process and learn a few things. I am hardly on the internet so you can text me if any one knows of anything or can help an old boy out. I am not interested in a guided pay for type hunt, but more like a friendly tag along type thing. Thanks,
Sean Graham Text me at 228-216-6129
you can see my camp at blackriverbucks.com if interested.

I can take you, but our club only allows guests to kill hen Shovelers.
Let me know if you are interested.

Sean - check your Private Messages.

Guys, I don't know Sean, but from what little I've read it ought to be apparent that he is more interested in learning the 'art' as opposed to 'keeping score'.

To me, that is a ray of hope among an otherwise 'dying' breed of waterfowlers.......'new', or otherwise.

You can walk the walk, talk the talk, but there is no better way to fuel the desire to learn the true 'art' than burning the image of 'feet-down', backpeddling 5 feet off the deck, inside of 20 yds on a duck YOU worked into your own set-up......in person.

You can watch all the TV shows and videos you want to........but this fella obviouslly knows there's no substitute for the real thing as he's already had some success.

Good luck to you Sean - I'm sure someone will step-up, here.

BTW - first-rate accomodations!

I live in Winona but hunt the central delta on private land 90% of the time. Would be more than happy to take you on private and public to show you how to hunt respectfully and ethically. Some many of younger generation have know idea what those two terms mean. The sport of duck hunting is headed in the wrong direction and I will be more than happy to show you if you are willing to move the sport in the right direction with respect of your fellow duck hunters. I'm not going to show you the holes I worked ever so hard for in public places, but I will take you public hunting and explain to you the wrongs and rights. When you have to work as hard as I did finding public holes off yo the side that produce ducks then you will respect the art that much more. I will also take you on my private land to so I can show you how to respect the land of the landowners. I'm not saying that you don't know already, but I'm willing to take my time and give it to you so maybe you will someday take your time and give it to someone else. Us as hunters must keep the sport going in a respectful and ethical manner. With that being said, you can call me anytime.

Maybe I needed to have said the "Newbie" generation. Wasn't paying that much attention to the age I don't guess!

Well thanks for all the offers guys. I really appreciate it. I have PM some of you. Hopefully time will permit for us to get together. Also LODI QUACKER, doesn't matter bout the ducks. I would be just fine standing by a tree sharing the woods with fellow hunters. Thanks again guys
