Taking a stab here, but he hadn't practiced and was also not 100% health wise and I guess he figured he'd err on the side of caution. They expect Dak to be the future and just didn't want to take a chance unless it was necessary. Just a guess though.ScottyLee wrote:state played well. congrats. i don't/haven't kept up with state football all year, so answer me this please guys. IF dak was healthy/cleared to play why would he not play the whole game? was there something more going on outside of the injury or what? Just kinda thought that no matter what a coach would play his best players. I just don't get why you would have the heart and sole of your offense sitting on the sidelines to watch, when the doctors said he was good to go. Ole damion looks the part, and played pretty good for his first outing, hat's off to the young man.

Mullen said in post game interview that Dak said himself that he had reservations about playing when asked before the game, the doctors only cleared him hours before the game. Dak was throwing on the sidelines all night and I guess as the night wore on he became more comfortable moving and using it. When asked in the forth by Mullen, Dak said he was ready.

State's D played lights out last night, giving them the chance for the late game heroics. The Rebs just got outplayed and outcoached.
I'm still a little butt hurt this morning, but I'm headed to the hunting camp for therapy.
The flip side of my misery from losing is that my many MSU friends will be happy and enjoy a better holiday season, including a bowl game.
On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful for many blessings, including a revived Rebel football program with a bright future, despite the loss last night.
Smoke em if ya got em Dog fans. Enjoy the victory. But, we'll be ready for revenge and retribution in Oxford next year.
Checking out for a while. The ducks and deer are waiting.

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day

I think this link may answer questions that arose late in this thread about Dak. Good article it you take a sec to read.
