Go to Louisiana bud. I tried the whole Pascagoula thing, and while it was a fun trip with good friends, the fish population is just no where near the LA marsh. Here's a link for a trip summary post from two trips, one to the Goula in '11, the next to LA a month ago. The bite is certainly different at different times of the year and under differing weather conditions, but it's just not that much farther to go for much better odds.

My $0.02.

Oh, and if you do go to Pascagoula there's only one place you need to stay, Indian Point campground: cheap cabins (but nice), private boat ramp, secure facilities, clean grounds.

Myself and Two buddies are going to Grand Lake to my inlaws Fish Camp in SW LA. We leave Tuesday morning and plan on coming back Sunday night. Last year Scott Brown and I went for a few days and did pretty good. I have been looking at pics and maps and everything trying to get ready, Tuesday can't come quick enough. Here are a few pics from our first mornings haul last year.

Wish you cousl go agian this year Brown, but women will do that to ya!

October is prime for bull reds if you hit the bay in LA. Marshes will have the big numbers of smaller fish. LA is where it's at. Plus if you are down in Goula, it's not terribly far of a drive to prime redfishing in LA.

They all decided they wanted to go to Pickwick bass fishing so we didn't go. I'm going to South Tx leaven on Nov 12 afternoon and we going a DIY 5 day cast and blast down there and we have always done good on the spects and decent on the reds down there. I will post planty of pictures from that when we get back. Thanks for all the help though guys I'm going to plan a trip down there after duck season early spring for sure.
