I'm going to miss you Elly

Just got home from the beach last night and woke up to find out my dog Elly had passed away overnight. She didn't win any titles but she loved to pick up ducks and every fault she had was more on the master than the dog. I'm going to miss you girl and I hope whoever is hunting with you till I get there lets you ride in the front seat and not put you in the kennel in the back of the truck at the end of the day.

I've lost two good ones and its never easy. Almost like a close family member passing. Each time I got a new lab pup. It helps to fill the void but each dog has his or her own personality and will never replace your old companion. But I promise it will help fill the void and in time you have the same attachment. My thoughts and prayers are with you. :cry:

I know how you feel. Lost one a couple of weeks ago. Even though we know that day is coming, its never easy to say 'good bye'
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.
