He learned he can't keep up partying with a bunch of coon azzes!

Re: Johnny Football
the dude is definitely on the short bus window-licking it all the way to self destruction and ruination.
he'll "grow up" via a twitter feed at least 2 more times before football - in fact, he's due an arrest any day now, not do jack $#!+ during the year, the team ain't got no where to go but down and that's exactly what they'll do - be worse than last year by a good margin and he won't help b/c it's becoming apparent he ain't quite the "leader" everyone had hoped for, he'll then blame everyone around him yet never realize it's his own stupidity and be an afterthought this time next year.

This is a very real possibility. He's definitely on the fast track for this scenario.gator wrote:the dude is definitely on the short bus window-licking it all the way to self destruction and ruination.

Re: Johnny Football
It's starting to smell like college football...
Re: Johnny Football
Yep. LSU continuing things with running back Jeremy Hill violating his probation to sucker punch a drunk frat dude in the parking lot of a local establishment in the wee hours of the night.

Don't know I keep asking, but what is the thought process behind these high profile athletes in these types of situations? I guess it is a rhetorical question, as there is obviously an absence of thinking the situation through and considering the potential outcomes. But, doesn't it seem that some passing thought or idea come across the brain and scream "hey if I punch this dude, i might lose my scholarship"? From Cecil Collins to Aaron Hernandez to the long list of dumb athletes.
I guess the coddling and constant attention these "star" athletes get in high school gives them a false sense of invincibility.

Manziel said he left because he was dehydrated...... I do believe that's called a hangover.

Re: Johnny Football
I never understood why I was always so thirsty the following morning after I drank so much the night before. Anyways, it was reported on nesn.com that he was partying it up again Saturday night as well after Archie told him to hit the bricks. Does he not have a conscience? I mean, Archie sending your "Alpha Sierra Sierra" home for being a "Foxtrot Umbrella Charlie Kangaroo" up is like disappointing your own father.Smoke68 wrote:Manziel said he left because he was dehydrated...... Re: Johnny Football
I feel like until it shows on the field who cares? He is young and on a damn good team and always puts out. I don't think there are many people out there who wouldn't be enjoying the shoes he is in. And as long as he is putting up the numbers like he is I think he deserves a drink. People do a lot less amazing things and deserve a cold one every day after work. I think he knows there is game time and free time and he isn't a player that will be high or drunk the Friday before a game.
A man who won't has no advantage over the man who can't.
Re: Johnny Football
There are 1,000 other players doing the same thing they just aren't getting the media he does. He gets the media because he is that good. I don't see Tyler Russle getting harassed everytime he goes out. And ironically he is the one that needs to be harassed in my eyes. I feel as long as you work hard you deserve to play hard. If you don't put out on the field you don't deserve to play hard. The media should be worried about the players that aren't putting up insane numbers like he is and asking why are you going out when you aren't performing at a high level.

Re: Johnny Football
I agree with you for the most part, he should be allowed to have a good time, but he was apparently so hungover at Archie's camp he couldn't perform. Isn't that just like showing up to a game hungover? This camp is important to a lot of kids and also an honor for Manziel to be invited to help with it.Rice wrote: I think he knows there is game time and free time and he isn't a player that will be high or drunk the Friday before a game.
