I'll vote on the Southern Game Calls.. I bought two of these calls - one at a DU Outdoors festival in Memphis and one from Greg at the Wildlife Extravaganza. You're correct, each call sounds different for different people. That's why it is so critical to go blow many different calls. I bought an ...

We used it some last year and were thoroughly impressed. However, I hate that Remington bought it and raised the price about $2 per box. We got it for a great price at Macks last year. I'm going to try it again this year and will try 2-3/4 #6. I expect it will shoot as good as lead. JB

Aerials

The best hardcopy photos you can get are available from MDOT office in Jackson. You can go to the map sales office, show them the location, select a size image, and they'll send it to you (not too expensive). A free route is to go to your county soil conservation service/Farm Service Agency office ...

Poll - spinners

Here's a poll for everybody. Seems people are using spinning wing decoys less as ducks have become more aware of them. What's your opinion on spinners?

Micah, what about creating regional forums such as East Coast, North, Mid-west, and West Coast. This might increase the postings in those forums that might not support an individual state forum. Just a though ... I could care less since I'm a southerner but I wouldn't mind checking on how those ...

Gun Socks

Are the silicon impregnated gun socks OK to store a fine firearem in? I just bought a new O/U and want to be sure the silicon won't discolor the wood if stored in the sock for a long period of time. Thanks, JB

Works Great

We used some on a hunt last year (3 hunters). Worked great. Ducks seemed to fall dead more. If you were on, they hit the water dead. What I bought at Macks last year was like $16 a box - I think it's gone up since Remington is distributing it. It made a believer out of us. However, I'll still be ...

water levels for Yazoo, Sunflower, Steele Bayou, etc.?

The Little Sunflower, Big Sunflower, Steele Bayou, etc. are all part of the Yazoo river backwater. They are separated from teh Yazoo (and thus the MS River) by levees and flood gates. They flow into the Yazoo at two flood gates (Little Sunflower and Steele Bayou). The river levels at these ...
