I have always favored the labs, but goldens are very gentle dogs. I would say it would depend on what you wanted to use the dog for. I think that the labs are best suited when it comes to cold weather and water. The goldens longer hair seem to give them a problem in these situations.

The Primos Wench double reed call is the #1 selling duck call in America. I hear more competition callers that have the $130 calls for contest and the Primos wench for meat. Just wanted to put my 2 cents in.

There is a rulebook for AKC hunt test on the AKC website. I looked it up today to get some insight on the test.

I've done 3 labs just like that now and I have never had a problem with them.
