Not sure if I spelled that right, but We have a bunch of chiwappa millet planted and some of it seems to be getting a light purple or pink color at the tops. Is this because of lack of water or some other reason. Thanks

Mine is purple and it is growing in standing water. May be just a natural thing like sprangletop, but in most plants, purple leaves usually means potassium deficiency.

thanks for the response. We also have some growing in standing water as well but it seems that the millet growing in standing water is not doing it as much, but yet it still is a light shade at the tips.

It takes about 120 days to mature. So if it frosts or freezes around the normal date around early November, you'd only have a 60 day old plant with no seed head.
