Panther Swamp Draw hunt question

Postby khound22 » Fri Oct 15, 2010 7:26 pm

Question: I filled out app for panther muzzleloader hunt and put a friend on it with me. My friend has gotten drawn and gotten his permit. I have not. I thought that if I put OUR names in, if one got drawn the other would too. Am I right or wrong on this??

That sucks. I put in for the second muzzleloader and put mine and 2 other guys names down. They didnt put in with anyone else. I had heard that it was almost a given that if you put in, you'd get drawn. Guess not. Do you have to purchase the permit before the draw?

If he was drawn, then you were too. That being said, they still check every individual applicant to make sure they're eligible. They make sure you returned your permit it you hunted last year, make sure you didn't apply on additional applications, etc.....

Yea, me and a couple buddies put in for it and got ours back last week. Some buddies of mine from Greenville put in and didn't get drawn. We hoping to all get to go together because the guys from G'ville have hunted there before and I have never stepped foot on it. I've been looking at bing maps and it looks like a nightmare to try and find a good place to hunt. Looks like a lot of flooded woods. Good luck.
