HRCH Title!!!

Just a little brag on my Dee!!. She just achieved her HRCH title with successful passes at East Arkansas and Old Hatchie. This title sure has been a fun ride!! I ran Dee to her HR title myself back in March 09’. We than started towards our CH in the Fall. The fall really was rough on this novice trainer (Dee was limited in technical water work due to a 3 month infected ear, hole in the ear drum etc) I failed us personally at West MS (called her name on honor bucket and slow whistled a down the shore blind the next day; really showed my lack of experience and her lack of water training) I than ran into a buzz saw at Bay area (decided not to run Sunday out of frustration, packed up and went back to the drawing board) Dee then comes into heat and the fall test are done for us!! Well, I figured we would train hard, and get them next season, then. WOW!!! Wife is pregnant with twins!!! I knew at this point that my days for playing with the dogs would be limited to say the least!! So, I started looking for someone to take over the leads of a very quirky little black, amped up, hates pressure, marking machine. I knew that she would be a handful for whoever I decided to send her to (from pasts experience she is just very soft, very attached to me, and I had failed to teach her how to work through pressure; which by the way may be the most important lesson I have learned through training her) So, with some research, I sent her to Webbfoot Kennels and Chris Akin. At first, Chris was ready to drive her back down to the Coast for me, but after some time well spent she started to perform up to her capabilities. When time allows I hope to be back at the reigns of this very talented animal!!! I was bitten by the hunt test bug and really wish I had more time to participate, but until then I’ll just have to enjoy the game from the sidelines. A special thanks to Alan “Copiah Creek” Sandifier, Chuck McCall, and Chris Akin!! Also, thanks to my wife for two beautiful boys, James and Jeremiah; and a lot of understanding!!!
