The original message does not state that the motor was purchased from Chuck's. It can only be assumed that it was, based on the dis-satisfaction expressed.
Did Chuck's rig the boat with that motor, or was it a used rig they took on trade-in - and offered for sale without verifying the year make of the motor?

I would speak to a lawyer. That is the only real way to get this cleared up.

I would talk to the dealership before getting a lawyer. Most likely you can get this handled all on your own withoug dragging a lawyer in it.

From what I've always heard this seems to be "par for the course"

+1
Its one thing to have an unsatisfied customer now and then, but when every other person I know has had a problem with that place, well I think that's called a pattern.
Hope you get this fixed twodollar
