I salute farmers

Postby torch » Tue Nov 25, 2008 8:27 pm

I have been fooling around trying to pump up and I have had some clusters. Laid out poly pipe Sunday and placed it in a rut on the turn row. When I turned on the well and the pipe started to fill it rolled and took about two hours to get the kinks out.     Last night I went and checked my fuel and decided to change to another barrel. I did and all was well, got back up this am and checked and the engine was off. I did not get my return line stuck in the barrel good enough and it popped out and pumped all my fuel on the ground.

So farmers I salute you cause I WOULD NEVER EVER HAVE ENOUGH PATIENCE to do what you do.

If i don't hurry up and get through I might be spending duck season at Whitfield.

after a while you expect all those problems.. no matter how well and thought our your plan is.. first its a fuel line problem, then a fuel filter, then a alternator, then battery (cant put a good one on with spending twice the battery in steel to make a contraption to keep it from getting stolen). then some one steals it anyway, then turbo goes out on motor and you burn twice the fuel trying pump, then gear head locks up, etc.. during their irrigation season it never ceases...
