food plot question?

what does everyone think about a food plot that was planted kinda early and its getting up pretty tall i hear that the deer will not eat it is this true and what should i do in yalls opinion i planted wheat oats and clover its prob close to a foot tall and doesnt look like they have touched it

mow it down close.. i might before i did that reseed it with some more oats and or wheat..

Leave it. There's still green natural vegetation out there. Wait till a frost kills everything & see what happens.

I wish I had your problem. You must have got some GOOD rain. I had to re-plant a couple of my plots 2 weeks ago.

the deer are going to eat it........jus wait til there supply of acrons and green leaves etc. die off and u will think someone came in with a bushhog......ours is about 2 feet tall and i have seen a few deer comin in there to eat it

another way of seeing if they are eatin it is to go walk through it and see if u see the tops sniped off

it's your call..... they'll eat it once the other browse dies off, but it doesn't hurt to clip it back IF you think we'll have some warm weather for the new growth to establish itself..... what variety of wheat, oats, and clover ?

wheat gets bitter as it gets bigger......put some amonia on it and it will sweetin it back up and they will hammer it.....

get on that lawn mower i gave you and cut it on level 3 and weed eat the edges and edge where needed. they need a pretty field to eat off of
