As mentioned above SFHRC is having an open training day March 11, 2007 at the Vires Plantation. Members and non-members are invited to attend. Steve has a few client dogs and owners that will be in attendance as has volunteered to demonstrate some introductory lining drills with some of these client dogs if there is some interest generated. And of course there will be a few set ups for all levels of dogs from puppy marks to big dawg stuff. So pass the word!!!!

Hamburgers or hotdogs will be served for lunch BYODD(brang your own dern drinks)!! I may even break out some elk meat for some of you vension eaters.

We just need to get a approximate head and a furball count and what level furball you plan on brangin' wif ya and if there is anyone that would like to watch a pro demonstrate a few lining drills so we can plan ahead for needed set ups!

Also you Grenada boys and gals need to put your heads together and check a few dates and possible grounds for the next training day. That also goes for you Oxford boys and girls. These items will be discussed at our monthly March meeting along with the spring Hunt Test in Crowder, so please make plans, if etal possible to attend the March 13th meeting. thanks.....management 8)

I-55 south form Memphis or north from Jackson(Ms) to Como(Ms) exit(Hwy 310). Go east -that is toward the rising sun for you bassakkard folk-on Hwy 310 approx 18 miles. You will go thru a small community called Harmontown keep going until you come a mailbox with a black lab underneath it. We will either be in the adjacent field or behind the house at Steve's ponds. We will get started around 8:00 am. they serve breakfast at holiday lodge for you hongry folk.

That is the directions I got the first time I went down anyway. If anyone has anything else to add.......go head on!

Just a couple of land marks....at Harmontown you will pass the large water tower. Steve's place is 1 mile from there on the left. The dog is on the mailbox and it is right before a large bridge.

This info helped me find it the first time.

Where's an edit button when you need it...Steve's place is on the right coming from I-55 not the left. Sorry...I'll shut up now!
