And all this time I thought you boys left me out of helping on purpose. :?

Didn't know the entire bunch of you got removed.

What interest me is how many of you are upset over the deal. When has any organization that raises money to stay in business ever worried about how they treat the volunteers? It is and has always been about making money.

It is a political arena that you must learn.

its all about the polticis and big donors...

but let me say this.

most of the mf'ers (including myself) that come onto this site day in and day out.. were the ones who in reality push the engine..

I can't speak for what happened or has gone on down there in Jackson. MS. I do know that if you looking for recognition or a pat on the back for doing volunteer work, well you might be a bit misguided. Would it be nice to receive some appreciation every now and again, certainly. However, whats it really about? Raising money for the ducks, not getting a pat on the back or your name in the paper.

What I can tell ya is that I attempted to volunteer with DU here in Memphis twice over a two year period and couldn't even get a phone call. I still have a membership, just don't devote any of my time to em. I went to a Delta Waterfowl Town Hall meeting, filled out a volunteer card two years ago and have been volunteering with them ever since. Sure I'd like to have a plaque on the wall, but I'll settle for rasing a few ducks and funding some much needed research!

You boys need to settle this stuff and quit letting it eat at ya! Ya got Tom's email addy right there in his signature. Send him an email or give a call and hash this out.

Bum, I will say that I respect ya for still backing the organization, since raising ducks is what it is all about!

I'm good with Delta Waterfowl. Rumour has it there will be both General and Sponsor events in the Metro area next year and I've thrown my name in the hat to help with either.

If they time the event just right, I may even go by and se Joe and the boys at DU. Unless that Mud sucker is there
