Ol Man River was a movin this weekend...

Postby Skeeter » Mon Jan 30, 2006 9:10 am

Guys, after we hunted Chotard saturday, we took our boats up the shoot to take a gander at the river, and buddy, let me tell you, it sent chills up and down my body, and my dog's too....it was moving like a 200 Horse motor and white caping everywhere....we didnt go out in the river, but i got nervous just being close to it....

but here's the kicker.....we were returning down the shoot, a boat came up behind us from hunting the river....We stared in amazment....about a 18 foot War Eagle (i think) with 6, yes, 6 hunters, decoys, and a dog with a 60 horse motor coming in from hunting the river....

the guys were friendly, and we asked if they did any good, and this ol boy said killed two, but "the ride was fun" sarcastically....

me and ol chotardhunter looked at each other in amazment....what the hell were these guys thinkin?

All i could think about was...." Are you crazy boy, or just plain stupid?" "Stupid is as stupid does mrs gump"

one of the guys we were hunting with swears that one of those guys in the boat was Micah....i have no idea, but whoever they were got balls bigger than the river itself....

Did yall do any good on Chotard?

I'm surprised to see that the chute to the river was opened up. I would have figured that there would be trees all up and down that thing.

Those guys in that War Eagle had balls the size of 55 gallon drums.

I have an 18 foot Ranger with a 150 Mercury and I would have been skeptical about taking it out on that swift stuff.

That wasn't me. I didn't make it that far south this year. :D

Who was the buddy that thought he recognized me? Do I know him?
