Gerald died

Haven't seen an obit yet but looks like he passed away from a heart attack today.
I know every single one of you msu guys ran into him at the bar or around campus. He was the old guy that would frequently take a nap at the bar at cheers while I was there. You never saw him without a camera around his neck. Rip Gerald

r.i.p. garcia "gerald" berry (66 yo). he had a good soul.
saw mention of it on 6packspeak.

I worked at Flo and Eddie's circa 2000 and Gerald was a mainstay at the bar. Super nice guy that I enjoyed talking to when things were slow. Hate to hear he has passed away.

I definitely remember him from the Flo and Eddie's days, sad news.

Definitely will not be the same. Budweiser sales in Starkville will take a hit as well. Rest in peace Mr. Berry.

Always a good conversation at Flo's or Dave's when he was awake. RIP, Gerald you will definitely be missed.

Bin 612 having a Budweiser toast to Gerald this Thursday at 9 PM. They've put a plaque on his favorite barstool.

Always wondered who that guy was. Saw him all thru college in the late eighties
Saw him last summer in left field lounge during the regional having a cold one enjoying
the atmosphere. I think he had the same flannel shirt on as the picture. Kinda like
Mac Banks, a college icon!

^^^my wife and i were talking about that last night (pic above is same gerald i knew in '88, her in '89 and later where she worked, exactly). she worked at a popular night spot, before it burned..., and saw him almost every night and said she only remembered him coming in and sleeping until i mentioned the bin 612 budwieser salute thurs...then it clicked....some 18-20 yrs later..."bud heavy"

They should have given that guy a reality show! Has the look they go for now and a side story to boot!
