Are we all in agreement that State's defense is its Achilles Heel? I Believe it will catch up to them very soon. They need to tighten that $hit up, and do it quickly.quackhead11 wrote:Ole Miss fan, but I will certainly be pullling for the dawgs. LSU appears to be heads and shoulders above the others offensively and pitching-wise, but the dawgs are getting hot at the plate at just the right time and have the arms to possibly take this thing. Good luck.
I will agree it has been that way as of late, but not over the course of the season. In fact their defense has been a highlight of the season for the most part. That outfield is fast, maybe as fast as any MSU has ever had. Frazier and Pirtle have been solid, especially with the double play ball. 3rd base has had some troubles. We have not always fielded bunts cleanly from there or made great throws. If there is a weak link it is 3B defense. Wes fields his position nice and our catchers have kept things in check. Overall I think our defense is above average.davidees wrote:Are we all in agreement that State's defense is its Achilles Heel? I Believe it will catch up to them very soon. My memory is short and I didn't get to see much of their pre-SEC schedule, but it seems the last month or so has been turribleSWAG wrote:I will agree it has been that way as of late, but not over the course of the season.
