Troubled country singer Mindy McCready, age 37, has died of an apparent suicide, the result of a single self-inflicted gunshot, the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office has confirmed.
According to E! News, McCready shot herself and her dog. The Associated Press reports that her body was found 4pm Sunday on the front porch of her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas, after neighbors heard gunshots and called the police.

Prayers on the way for children, family and friends

Several years ago she dated a friend of mine , she seemed to be a sweet girl the few times I was around her but I knew she had a drug problem and she was never able to shake it .
Sad situation . Prayers are needed for that family .

Sad to say, but she had numerous failed attempts at suicide. She even tried to commit suicide when she was pregnant.

a neighbor of mine's wife shot one of her dogs then the other then herself. I told my wife if she was going to try to shoot the dog she better be quick, or it would be assisted suicide.

Very true, people are need all around us everyday and many times we never know.

She is the fifth celebrity that has died after appearing on "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew". Just thought that was rather ironic and a pretty high percentage. Maybe it's not high and the death rate for people with those types of issues is really that high.

I think Clemens has denied the affair and McCready would only say that the relationship only became sexual "several years" after they met.
