It is ridiculous. I know State fans claim it is Ole Miss fans posing as State fans but either way it is just crazy and sad.

IF Jones really did receive "death threats" from any fan, then I am certain that the authorities can track down who did it and prosecute them.
By the subsequent cavalier way that Jones has blown off these comments, I suspect that he may have been over-exagerrating a bit to the reporter who took Chris too literally. I think that is one possibility. Not saying that it didn't actually happen. While such a thing sounds totally foreign to most of us, right out of some perverse parallel universe of total social retardism, some of these "fans" of all schools are crazy enough to pull crap like this.
I have never in my life spoken to an Ole Miss football recruit (or any recruit), texted a recruit, tweeted a recruit (I suppose one must actually have a twitter account to tweet

), or otherwise communicated with any recruit. And it is hard for me to fathom why ANY adult fan of any school would feel compelled to do so or should feel like they should. Recruiting should be left to the coaches, current players, and other students of the school --- not the adults/alums/sidewalk alums/etc.. The jock sniffing older adult, who lives vicariously through others, is the type of insecure douchebag that I would not care to associate with --- a bit creepy if you ask me.

Couldn't have said it better myself - these grown men that are so obsessed with these recruits are absolutely pathetic people.
Nothing wrong with following recruiting at all but when it affects your happiness in life - you have issues.

Well Stang67, I guess you put me in my place. I really do enjoy your incessant personal put downs. They have a certain stalker like quality to them.
Btw: if you take the time to google the term "over-exaggerate", I think you will find two schools of thought --- one is that it is a redundant term --- and the other that it is a legitimate word by common usage. To each his own. But know this --- it is the height of douchebagery to correct others word usage and spelling here. And if you google "douchebag", I think you will find your picture.

Haha. Chill out, friend. It was a joke from a butthurt bulldog. Grammar smack is all I have left.
