Freedom from Over?Criminalization and Unjust Seizures (FOCUS) Act of 2012 would remove authority from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and NOAA agents and officers to carry firearms.

I hope like hell it passes!!!!!!!!!
NOAA is the biggest bunch of crooked SOBS in the enforcent world. Making arbitrary rules and collecting HUGE fines to justify a position that shouldnt even be there. Its sickening!!!
I know one little peckerwood in Greenwood(city police) that needs his ticket book shoved up his rear end!!!!!!! Little chithead profiled the hell out of me for the old duck truck I was driving then proceeded to write a handfull of bogas tickets to justify himself!!!!!!!! Yall wanted to know why I have such a tremedously bad attitude towards law enforcement. Its because I have been screwed by em so many times that after oh, 25 years of it its almost more than I can stand to have a conversation with any of them. I guess the only group of officers I havent had a bad experience with is MS state game wardens. That is not a suck up!!!!! Its the truth, may change next time I am checked but over the probably 20-30 times I have been checked by MS game wardens its been nothing but profesional.
so yall pile on me now.

From an officer safety standpoint that is retarded, full out window licking retarded. They are a federal law enforcement agent, not checking people to make sure they have a candy cane license, they are checking people with guns. Every single day at that. I would be willing to bet if that got passed, there would be a strike like you have never seen. As a friend of a federal game warden, I hope like hell it doesn't pass.

Yep, if you take their weapons you've just dealt a fatal blow to wildlife. Agent friend of mine from Grenada just got back from NJ working on huge black rhino operation. Details at

Really? I understand your view on some cops, but to disarm a Federal wildlife agent when everyone he encounters has a gun? Like Chevy1234 said....Straight up window lickin retarded. They have given people the right to carry a firearm in a state park, but the law enforcement cant? Something is bass ackwards if ya ask me. I dont see it passsing.

law enforcement is just like everything else under the sun involving humans.....you're going to get folks that fall WAY outside the bell curve, but for the most part, you've got good people trying to do a good job.
if a man/woman has a badge and has the term "enforcement" anywhere in their job description, they need/deserve the ability to enforce said laws and maybe more importantly PROTECT themselves and their fellow officers.
no way, NO WAY, something like this should pass and for the life of me, i can't figure out how anyone on earth could view it as a good thing.

I believe he was an Arkansas game warden not a federal guy.

That was AR warden. Noaa very much so needs to GO away. No person in their right mind would do the duties of a fed warden with no weapon. I imagine this is an assualt against noaa that got the feds mixed up in it.

Why would NOAA have guns in the first place? Aren't they the weather people?

I'm going to show my ignorance as well. I've never heard of the NOAA folks having armed agents. Somebody who knows post up. I'd love to know what an armed NOAA agent does.

Not saying I agree with it, but Corp of Engineers Enforcement guys do not carry weapons and are enforcing the same laws Federal/State Wardens are enforcing.
