The geese got up and moved to the middle of the field for some reason. The guys continued down the ditch in hopes that the geese would feed back to them as they were upwind from the geese. There were about 45min left till shooting hours were up when two crop dusters flew over the field. They were pretty low and I figured they were going to run the geese out for good. Game over. The geese got up as expected but because the planes were so low they just made a big low circle into the wind and landed on both sides of the ditch our boys were in. Holy hell broke loose right at 30" minutes past sunset and they smoked 230 or so geese. You couldn't make it any more perfect than that. Fire sticks blazing from the ditch, the rolling thunder of 100+ 3" goose loads going off and the sight of the white geese falling from the sky by the dozens was pretty impressive.
olemissduckhunter, Echo1, and I watched it from straight down the ditch line. It was an awesome sight!!
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)
