That came across wrong, Delta. I wasn't challenging what you'd said, just poking at Freeze's Hillaryesque claims of complete ignorance. I agree with what you've said and apologize for the poor wording.

NCAA is a joke. At this point either clear him or suspend him. They should either have nothing on him or enough to justify suspendng him but instead they are shortening his final season as a college player and possibly hurting what could be the best ole miss team we have ever seen with no clear evidence.

To be fair this could've been avoided. If there is no clear evidence, I agree. Fans of many schools can empathize with the fact that it is not "innocent until proven guilty" with the NCAA. Strangely, Bama fans haven't had a chance to learn that lesson, though.

My money says he is cleared about 9 minutes after the Bama game

The reality of what happened...(and the shame) is he was sat by the administration, not by NCAA or coaches. The administration "recommended" to Freeze that for precautionary measures he not play until they get more info from NCAA. The NCAA has nothing to do with him not playing, it's was self imposed. I think Freeze was being as candid and back handed to the GOB in the Lyceum as he could with his comments; without stepping on toes. He doesn't know why the admin did this and he doesn't know when they'll fix it...
This is the same exact thing as Cam Newton, NCAA was snooping and investigating and the admin at Auburn had the balls to call their bluff. They played him anyhow and said y'all let us know when you are done with your charades...look what happened, NOTHING! Ole Miss should do the same...NCAA ain't gonna do jack if they had something significant we'd all know a lot more about it already.

So, in summary, Auburn has more balls than Ole Miss.........

Unless their investigation has found more than they anticipated.

I think this is SOP For situations where the admin suspects improprieties (as UOM fans here do) and knows the NCAA is investigating (which seems to be widely accepted).

Has Tunsil been reinstated? I've heard for a while now from OM fans that he'd be back for Memphis - is he back?

Supposed to announce his return today, but the overall plot remains "thick."

All I've ever heard was they expected to hear something from NCAA early this week, as of today coach press conference they had not heard from NCAA

I like the way Freeze put it: "All I've been told is that we hope to get an answer early this week. I've been told that the last couple of weeks."
Whatever the kid may or may not have done, this is a perfect example of why the NCAA is becoming irrelevant.

Twitter talk says he's out for Memphis but will be back for TAMU.

The NCAA better come out with a good reason for him not being cleared this far into the season. Just not right to leave someone in limbo that long and jerking them around.
