Please Pray For Casey

Guys, Casey had a bone scan today, the fever was at 104, but has come down to 102 tonite. The scan shows that the infection seems to be limited to the left leg. They are going to lighten his sedation tomorrow. That must be a good sign, or they wouldn't be bringing him around even a little. If he does well with that perhaps the ventilator can go soon. I think his dad is coping a little better too. Thank you all, I am hoping he is back up and running around playing video games soon. I am waiting to see that sweet smile again! When he gets out of that ICU you will hear me shout all over the place.

Feel like we've been on a roller coaster...Casey is showing more improvement today, fever down some more, physical therapy has been started, drawing fluid off the lungs still. NO blood clots were found in the head. He is more concious oxygen levels at 40% much better, talking about removing the ventilator Sunday. Hallalujah!!!!

My daughter just called and said that Casey tried to say "football" around the ventilator and that's a sure sign that things are lookin up!

I'm sure he will be watching if at all possible they are supposed to remove the ventilator tube. In ICU there are a few TV's up high on the ceiling about 12 inch screens, but I know he will want to see the saints win. They are weaning him off morphine, using methadone, and so he is in and out. Tho he is hopefully moving toward recovery, this is a hard time for him. Mickey said he was irritable today, cause of the withdrawal and side effects. But we are so so very happy! Winning on Super Sunday would be good for us all!
