man.....I am speechless
I knew Mike was in poor health but not this bad. I haven't heard from him on PM's as of late and was thinking about him the other day. I wish that I had saved those PM's.
Mike was true to his beliefs whether you agreed with him or not. He would argue until you gave in or he would jump on the band wagon with you if he agreed with your points.
Mike was a kind person and had a good heart. I really gained alot of respect for him when he spoke up for some of the victims of Katrina that others turned their backs on. I know that he is in a good place now and I'll miss seeing him on the board.
Rest in Peace Mike

run me out in the cold rain and snow
Some of the Delta Waterfowl employees from national headquarters were in Jackson, and we got together for lunch at River Hills CC. We were talking about all things duck and the conversation went well past the lunch hour as a good conversation can. I noticed this big fellar sitting behind us and doing what I would call eaves dropping. I was not certain that was what he was doing, but him leaning over as far as he could in our direction without falling over sure made it look like he was trying to listen in. I thought to myself that he must be a duck hunter.
We finally got up from the table to leave and Mike introduced himself to me as Sportsman450 from MSDucks. He said he really enjoyed the conversation even though he was not sitting at the same table!:) As always, it is good to meet MSDuckers and to put a face to a screen name. I’m glad I did get to meet him and did enjoy his posts on how duck hunting in the South Delta used to be. Rest in Peace my friend.
